LeClaire GeoServices was formed in March of 2012 as LeClaire Surveying Services LLC. We began with the intent of offering professional surveying services to Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula. Though that is a noble pursuit, founder and owner, Steve LeClaire felt compelled to strive for bigger aspirations. With the help of MTEC Smartzone and Monte Consulting we rebranded the company as LeClaire GeoServices in September of 2013. The new brand and logo signify our desire to offer specialized services including Image Based 3D Modeling to customers throughout the Midwest region as well as nationwide. Our plan is to expand our service offerings through strategic team building and partnerships in the near future. Our overall goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations on every project through our people, technology and experience.

Mr. LeClaire graduated from L’Anse Area Schools (L'Anse, MI) and went on to college at Michigan Technological University. After receiving an Associate degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology in 1991, he decided to continue his education and in 1994 received a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying. Mr. LeClaire became licensed as a Professional Surveyor in Michigan in 2000.
Mr. LeClaire’s career has taken him to north central Minnesota, the greater metropolitan Detroit area and back to his home in the northern Upper Peninsula. He is grateful to have worked on a wide variety of projects, large and small, and for all of the great friends he met along the way.
Steve enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering as a fire fighter, medical first responder, school board member as well as coaching youth soccer.
